You will not find me in the kitchen whipping up something scrumptious to eat very often...if it weren't for my growing little ones, I would be serving up cereal for supper more than once a week! Nor, am I the type to mend a piece of clothing with my sewing machine...if it has a hole, it's a perfect excuse to go shopping! If it weren't for my husband, Chad, who doesn't mind cooking us a hearty meal, we would be in trouble!
Over the July 4th Holiday, I learned something about my oldest daughter, Alexis. She loves to cook, bake, and be crafty! It was at that point when I kept seeing her in the kitchen lending a hand when I realized, I need to do more of this stuff with her. I am trying more and more everyday!
Yesterday evening the girls and I made our first lemon meringue pie! It is one of Chad's favorites so why not start with that?!
We followed Paula Deen's recipe. Check it out HERE

The final product...pretty tasty!
While I was at it, I decided to finish up a hand towel that I've been busy working on!
P.S. Don't mind the messy hair, I decided to be June Cleaver's husband and mow the yard!
Alexis has a BIG idea of completing her very own dress! Karla, does that sound like a project you and her could do in August?!
