I'd Marry You Again

Chad and I are celebrating 7 years of wedding bliss! The poem below hangs in our bedroom and it couldn't be more true!

I'd Marry You Again

With tiny tears that glistened, my eyes were fixed on you, and thinking of the life we'd share we softly said, "I do".

Our hearts were knit together from the time that we first met, and memories were gathered that we never will forget.

While daily living life with you, you saw the real in me, and still you chose acceptance, a loving mystery.

With many happy times gone by and others when we cried, some days we'd share so endlessly, while other days we'd hide.

With all the ups and downs we've had in learning to be friends, I know that in this heart of mine, I'd marry you again.

Right Now

Right Now:

1. We are sitting on our comfy couch watching the rain come down...I love a good thunderstorm in the summer, but I prefer them while we are sleeping!

2. Decorating for the 4th of July..I really truely am! I love putting up the stars and strips a few weeks before the 4th so I can simply admire them!

3. Training for Marathons~Half Marathons~10ks

Yes, this is true! Chad is preparing himself for his first ever (and probably last) full marathon in October! He will be taking on the streets of downtown Minneapolis for 26.2 miles! I however, am training for a few 10ks and possibly a half marathon (insert a yikes and a gasp)!

(I wonder how many miles these 2 shoes have under their belts)

4. Contemplating chopping my hair~ I would love to have long hair, but this summer weather and all the humidity that goes with it makes it less than appealing right now.

5. Thrilled that despite my brown thumb, my flowers continue to grow!

6. Breaking up more sister fights than I could have ever imagined doing!

7. Planning a camping trip (insert an OMG)! Although, I'm not too thrilled about this idea; believe it or not, it was my idea! Yes, we are planning on taking the girls camping this summer. Not too far away and definitely not in the rain. I am however, excited to do this for the girls!

(I may need to get a small tent like this for Molly!)

8. Dreading my dentist visit...I need a filling and some other lazer thingy done.

9. Already feel that the summer is slipping away from me when I have sooo much more that I want to accomplish.

10. Enjoying my quick summer school sessions...I just love teaching and getting creative with my lessons!

11. Dying to get my hands on some pinterest.com DIY projects!!

Going On A Book Hunt

During the summer months we head to the Library every Tuesday. We look forward to this day so we can begin what we like to call our "book hunt."
We search for books that are not too long, not too short, but just right...We search for books that are not too hard, not too easy, but just right...We search for books that are not too dull, not too lively, but just right!

We {LOVE} going on a book hunt!

We are thrilled that we found #9 of the Junie B. Jones series...it's the next book we need to read!

Rules of a Mess

Here are my rules governing a mess:

If making the mess keeps the girls happy for longer than it takes to clean up, the mess is hereby deemed acceptable!

Acceptable Mess:
  • Piling every available book onto the couch and then sitting on top of the pile to read.
  • Taking all the toys out of the toybox so they can be used for merchandise at the local Zander toystore.
  • Lining up cars on books pretending they are on the interstate.
  • Filling the bathroom sink with water so Barbies can have a bath.

Unacceptable Mess:

  • Coloring on the wall. Or on dolls. Or on the fridge. Or in books.
  • Tearing pages of a perfectly good book.
  • Dumping out any game or card game, then strewing them throughout all the rooms in the house.
  • Finding a red Kool-Aid Jammer empty on the carpet.
